Wanlov’s describes his new song – Trotro Diaries – as “A Hiphop ballad for Africa.” It could easily double as an ode to the trotro – which the Kubolor declares is “the most powerful mode of transport in the country.” The song is off Wanlov’s soon-to-be-released “Orange Card: Fruitopian Raps” album, and features Otuntu on the first verse.
The video gives a drone view of what our beloved “Trotro” stations look like. Otunto in a time freeze effect, and wanlov queuing for trotro scenes are perfect demonstration a “trotro lifestyle”. …. are those shoes on wanlov’s feet ?
If you’re a regular user of the trotro, listen as Wanlov and Otuntu tell of trotro escapades you’re very familiar with. And if the trotro is not your primary mode of transport, listen still as they tell you trotro stories written in the trotro diarries.
Get the history on trotro at the end of the video .
