Oshun is the Yoruba Goddess of love and fertility. She is also an Orisha(deity) of art & creativity, sensuality among other lovely things.

Oshun is “known for healing the sick, cheering the sad, bringing music, song and dance.” In light of this, it is safe to say that Oshun is deeply musical.

Offerings to this charming and beautiful young woman of a deity include songs, and other sweet things such as honey, sweets and fruits.

We pay homage to Oshun in this season of love with the sweetness she desires: in the form of 16 love/sensual songs brewed in the hearts and souls of various Ghanaian rappers.

To you, from Yoyo Tinz, this is:

“Oshun”  (Goddess of love and fertility)

If ‘The “Oshun” Mix were wine…

(Meet the team that put it together)

Selorm Jay: The Maker/Producer

This mix is his brainchild: He conceived the idea, named it, suggested and provided songs.

Esse: The Wine taster

Her taste buds (ear buds, in this case) were very influential in deciding which of the suggested songs made the final cut. Chose the image to be used for the cover art, and also played a role in the naming of this mix.

Moshood: Producer

Suggested and provided songs for the mix. Researched for Oshun and supported the project
all the way.

Dj Vim Tinz: The Mixologist

Selected songs were arranged and mixed by him, in his studio (read: living room.)
