This year edition of the festival was focused on graffiti with 2 major events. The first one was the exhibition “Face au Mur” that we mentioned earlier. The second event was the Ourcq Living Colours festival organised by Da Cruz – French graffiti artist who will be coming to Ghana in
One section of the wall…
During 2 days graffiti artists were invited to transform a wall in a street of Paris in the Ourcq neighbourhood. As Da Cruz explained this neighbourhood is the home of people from various origins and the graffiti festival was also an opportunity to gather all of them around a special event.
We really liked the vibe, all the artists were concentrated on their work, but took breaks from time to time to relax and exchange with spectators. Pedestrians, drivers, bikers would slow down or even stop to enjoy the art. At the same time a DJ was playing some dope hip hop tracks. To our surprise he even played a M.anifest tune.
We met with Da Cruz and appeared on TV! Behind, another section of the wall…
We were happy to reconnect with Marko93, to discover new graffiti artists and to meet new artists.
