The Robosapiens project brought artistes who altogether made sure that festival goers were served a significant amount of hip hop.
As per the routine, there was some graffiti – thanks to Deff Art, some very exciting beatboxing sessions – thanks to Cep sefogah and Bizzy Mof, electrifying DJing – courtesy DJ Vim Tinz, a marvellous dance performance by Khadi and her team, and some great MCing courtesy all the rap artistes who performed on both days of the festival.
The artistes were generally at their crowd-pleasing best; as they kept the vibe absolutely hysterical at the Robosapiens station.
Blitz the Ambassador came by the station and treated the audience to a quick surprise performance – so did Jayso, scientific and soul singer Nana Yaa. Kula also had an amazing set which had the crowd calling for an encore. Other notable performers were the Memorable guys, Freda Rhymz, Cj Biggerman, Akan, Elom 20ce, Ayat and so many more.
Dj Vim Tinz’ block parties at the end of both days were extremely exhilarating experiences – which perfectly rounded up two days of remarkable hip hop activities.
To have had another grand, impressive showing is such a huge feat considering last years’ almost insurmountable experience with The Shrine. It can only be imagined what yoyo tinz will offer come the next Chalewote Festival, and the period before and after that.
